Privacy Policy

AhTown is operated by Directory Three LLC. This policy explains what we collect and what we do with it. We keep it short because we collect little.
What we collect
- Business contact information you give us: business name, owner name, email, phone, website, service area, logo and service description.
- Business contact information we gather publicly for outreach, such as company name, owner name, business email and phone from public websites, public business listings and public state registries.
- Payment information, handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Basic site analytics, such as pages viewed and clicks on listing links, in aggregate.
What we do with it
- Publish your listing on AhTown, which is the service you are buying.
- Bill you, send receipts, and email you about your account.
- Send you a monthly summary about your listing.
- Contact businesses about available territories.
What we never do
- We do not sell or rent your information.
- We do not share your contact information with other members, including anyone on a waitlist for your ZIP codes. Waitlist reporting shows counts only, never names.
- We do not store payment card numbers.
Who we share with
Only the services that run the business: Stripe for payments, our email providers for sending mail, and our website host. Each receives only what it needs. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Email and opting out
Every marketing email we send identifies us, includes our mailing address, and has a way to opt out. Reply with "no" or use the unsubscribe link and we will stop, and add you to our permanent suppression list. Account and billing emails to active members are not marketing and continue while you are a member.
How long we keep information
Member information is kept while you are a member and for 90 days after your listing ends, then deleted, apart from billing records we must keep for tax and accounting. Outreach contacts are deleted 24 months after the last contact, or immediately on request.
Your choices
Email us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. If you are covered by a state privacy law that gives you additional rights, we will honor those rights.
Cookies
We use only what is needed to run the site and count page views in aggregate. We do not use advertising trackers.
